Loners

Suddhasanta Nag

Strangers in love

Under spells of blue

Distanced from earth

Awaiting moon-rise
Silenced gunshots
A star flickers, dies.
Not a moment can pass
That comforts the heart
A coiled serpent weeps
And a frightened doe starts.
